A-Rod is not in the Yankees lineup today

Aug 10, 2013, 12:27 PM EST

The Yankees most famous currently-active player is going to ride some pine today:

YES Network and Fox Sports Detroit probably aren’t fans of this move, but such is the way of the world when you have a day game after a night game and the player in question is old and still ramping up after months of inactivity.

If only there was some substance he could take to help him shake off the fatigue and to better-prepare him for this game.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop selling dexies.

Nothing worse then having a declining diva in your roster coming down from roids.

I hear that deer antler spray works somethin’ fierce.

    2013 Yankees 3rd baseman stats pre A-Mendoza:
    BA .215/ OB% .272/ SLG .285/ OPS .557

    A-Mendoza stats thus far:
    BA .200/ OB% .333/ SLG .200/ OPS .533

The Yankee front office isn’t smiling.

Ok, Craig. Nice comment there at the end. Ugh.

      Yeah. I agree.

There’s no need to make comments about the guys repeated and arrogant abuse of Performance Enhancing Drugs.

Leave him alone. He has already served his time and everyone should move on and pretend he isn’t a lying cheating ugly lipped douchebag.

The “ugly lipped” part is where all the LOL is….

      A-Rod is not amused!

Hey, stop piling on A-Rod. It’s August, and the wear and tear of a long season can get to everyone. I’m only concerned that sitting out will cool him down from his torrid pace of late.

Ever wonder how hard hockey players laugh at other pro “athletes”? No injury but he’s gotta take the day off to rest up. Soupy Campbell broke his leg and still finished his shift before getting off the ice. I don’t care how big and “tough” some of these ball players think they are they are wusses when it comes down to the screws of it.

That just means they’ll be 3 maybe 4 less strikeouts on the teams box scores.
