Yadier Molina exited yesterday’s game with a sore left wrist, but the Cardinals catcher is back in the lineup tonight against the Reds.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that Molina has dealt with wrist problems for most of the season, although it wasn’t as problematic as his knee.

Despite being banged up Molina has been one of the most valuable players in the league, hitting .329 with an .856 OPS in 113 games along with his always outstanding defense behind the plate.

Well, maybe if Yadi could pitch.

The Cardinals must be committed to physically running him into the ground.

I think it’s far more a case of Yadi simply demanding the playing time. He always has.
Earlier this year…I was screaming for them to sit him down to rest his knees prior to the all star break as his knees have been bothering him all year. What does he do? Catch over half the all star game. In this case…they are right in the middle of a pennant race? Dude isn’t sitting.
