Check out this Andrew Romine diving catch

Sep 15, 2013, 10:25 AM EDT

It was a meaningless game played in front of a less-than-half-capacity crowd at Minute Maid Park, so you probably missed this exceptional diving catch Saturday from Angels infielder Andrew Romine:

That looked easier than it was. Romine went 1-for-2 with a walk at the plate and the Angels won 6-2.

Anybody on base? Infield fly rule called? Y’know, cause that’s how far the infield extends, apparently…

    (Great catch).

Runner on first, one out. The third base ump didn’t signal out until Romine caught the ball, so I think no IFR.

I don’t think diving over the shoulder catches look easy at all.

Considering Romine had to dive to catch the ball, the infield fly rule wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) have been called.

Diving…over the shoulder play with his back to home plate.
I feel ya’ Lady. Nice try.
