Arizona reliever Matt Reynolds needs Tommy John surgery

Diamondbacks reliever Matt Reynolds hasn’t pitched since June due to an elbow injury and is headed for Tommy John surgery after suffering a setback in his rest-and-rehab attempt.

Reynolds was acquired from the Rockies in November and tossed 27 innings with a 1.98 ERA and 23/5 K/BB ratio before going on the disabled list, but now he’ll likely miss all of next season and throw his next big-league pitch at age 30.

      Reminds me of a road sign in Dallas, where a road split off into Loop12. During the 80′s when Danny White and the Cowboys were terrible, I drove by that sign one morning after the Cowboys were shut out and somebody had spray painted to where it read “Loop 12, Cowboys 0″
