The Nationals are wearing Navy caps in pregame warmups today

Sep 17, 2013, 12:30 PM EDT

From Nationals Park during the pregame of today’s Nats-Braves game, here’s Tyler Clippard:

source:

Other Nats players are sporting Navy caps too. And several fans and radio hosts in Washington are urging those who go to today’s doubleheader to wear Navy blue and gold.

Awesome gesture. Let them wear the caps in the game.

    • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:09 PM

Sadly, they aren’t. Probably didn’t register those caps with MLB…. nothing like MLB bureaucracy…

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:51 PM

Sadly, they aren’t. Probably didn’t register those caps with MLB…. nothing like MLB bureaucracy…

Yet you willingly spend cash to buy crappy Nats gear, thus lining the pockets of the MLB.

  2. 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 12:53 PM

How much do you think those will sell for?

    • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 12:55 PM

I would buy one. I would by two. I would pay $100 or $200. I sincerely hope they are selling them.

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM

Of course you would. You are the easy target the Nats are looking for….someone willing to get all emotional and part with your money.

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:03 PM

Yep. And proud of it! I work hard so I can spend my money on my NATS! Sho’ do!! If you saw the Nats gear I have!!!

    • jwbiii - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:09 PM

$29.99. There are more inexpensive options, but I like their “easy-fitted” design because the amount of hair I have varies seasonally.

        Thanks for the link.

      • jwbiii - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:36 PM

And in DC, nobody’s going to give you grief for wearing a Navy cap. Unless you hang out at the officer’s club at Ft. Belvoir or something.

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:44 PM

hahahaha – you DO know that your money spent on that hat does NOTHING for the families right? However, at least you can take pride in knowing that you are supporting some Chinese company that is making the garbage hats.

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:50 PM

Funny thing about my family. They support themselves and buy their own clothes. Glad your mom buys yours, though, and gives you space in her basement.

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:53 PM

Got nothing against Chinese workers…. I know they don’t get much but maybe they get a little of my money.

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:56 PM

You clearly don’t know how things work do you? Then again, you are a Nats fan so that’s expected.

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:01 PM

LOL, well, been real chatting with someone whose IQ is 100 less than mine…. Off to make a few $$ in my very easy job (self-employed, so, no BOSS, just working three hours today) and spend them $$ on what makes me smile. Sorry about your life, kid. Maybe it will improve.

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:07 PM

So not only do you shop at Walmart, but you are employed as a greeter there as well?

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:11 PM

You, um, don’t understand the term “self-employed”? OK, then. Let me put it this way: If I worked for Walmart and was “self-employed” that would be a lotta billions to spend on Nats gear…

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:15 PM

And yet here you are…still posting about your alleged job, crappy Nats gear, etc.

Time for you to head to the real world and stop relying on the internet for affirmation or your sad life.

Make some more basement comments – it is fun watching you repeat yourself….

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:22 PM

Aw, da pppppooor liddle puppyy. Did the “basement” part hit home? Your home, I mean!

Yeah, said I was leaving, but couldn’t resist. Such an easy target. And so obnoxious. Just a pleasure… a real pleasure.

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:37 PM

You don’t really have a job do you? Sitting online and posting lame insults really doesn’t count, so try and come up with something more original next time.

I will admit though, it is definitely fun watching how sad your responses become each time. Something tells me you are the person in school that never really caught on that people were laughing AT, not WITH you.

Have fun at your “job”. Too bad you didn’t “work” at the Navy yard…..or in the cafeteria hahahaha.

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 2:52 PM

Yeah, I have a job. On Tuesdays, I’m due there at 4 pm. And you?

You are a cockroach. Period. Worrying about the price of parking in Lot B while twelve people are killed and the Nats donate the space (and food and drinks) to the families who are looking for their loved ones. Apparently $40 is so far out of your reach that you have nothing but left but envy and bitterness. Then you worry about the price of a Navy cap. Apparently $29.99 is out of your reach AND your mother’s.

      • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 3:35 PM

Shhhhh..get back to “work” so you can by another Chinese hat.

On the other hand, keep posting. your lack of knowledge over basic grammar is a real treat.

    • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:41 PM

If you saw the Nats gear I have!!!

Typical sheep fan. Although i suppose for you it means you have less money to spend at Walmart to buy clothes for the rest of your family.

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:50 PM

Funny thing about my family. They support themselves and buy their own clothes. Glad your mom buys yours, though, and gives you space in her basement.

  3. NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 12:53 PM

They are wearing the patriotic uni’s, the ones with the big curly W stars and strips on navy blue. Also a moment of silence.

    • 1ambetterthanyou - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:01 PM

      Stars and strips?

      • NatsLady - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:04 PM

strips? Yep, ordering my playoff strip today!!!! THANKS for reminding me!!!

    • sdelmonte - Sep 17, 2013 at 1:59 PM

I like the Navy caps more.

Think of all the Nats gear you can buy with that monthly income!

      • stlouis1baseball - Sep 17, 2013 at 3:44 PM

        jm:
I didn’t think Mork was a baseball fan?
After all…do they even offer the baseball package on planet Ork?

    • stlouis1baseball - Sep 17, 2013 at 3:51 PM

      Mork:
Have you talked to Mindy lately? Well…if you haven’t you need to know that she is married now. To a very successful actor (and ex starting quarterback at UCLA) named Mark Harmon. I don’t know if you watch TV on planet Ork or not. Anywho…Mark Harmon is now playing the lead role in the hugely popular television series “NCIS.” I only point these things out to ensure you are aware in the event you try to re-establish contact with Mindy…er…Pam.
      Good luck Mork!

    C.C.:
Let’s check into a block option on HBT in which we can block people’s post from showing up?
Sort of like facebook? Then…when someone continues to post moronic drivel over and over we are not forced to look at it? This would allow me to block a couple of “people’s” posts on a regular basis. #1 on the list would be the pre-pubescent adolescent posting nothing but nonsense on this very article.

    • jm91rs - Sep 17, 2013 at 3:27 PM

One benefit to this site over most I’ve been on is that most of the people are here to talk about baseball. Sure there are hot button topics that get everyone fired up and off track, but for the most part we’re here because we like baseball. This guy is really the first I can remember that seems to just be here for the sole purpose of being an asshole. I’m all for freedom of the internet, but if there’s anyway we can block this guy the comment sections will be more enjoyable for all. Craig, exercise your moderator super powers please!

      • DelawarePhilliesFan - Sep 17, 2013 at 3:37 PM

Yea, good call. There are people that push peoples buttons on HBT, but it is usually still baseball related “button pushing”. I too can not think of anyone like this guy. Even the rash of people posting about making money working from home – at least you get why they are doing what they do!

    • DelawarePhilliesFan - Sep 17, 2013 at 3:30 PM

      AMEN brother!!!
