Brian Wilson responds to John McCain on Twitter

Sep 20, 2013, 7:10 PM EDT

Dodgers' Wilson watches the game against the Diamondbacks in the seventh inning during their MLB National League baseball game in Phoenix Reuters

Earlier today, Arizona Senator John McCain tweeted his thoughts on the Dodgers’ Chase Field pool celebration. He called the Dodgers “a bunch of overpaid, immature, arrogant, spoiled brats”. The whole thing came about because Diamondbacks utility man Willie Bloomquist took to the media to voice his displeasure with the act, saying he thought the Dodgers “had more class than that”.

Bearded gentleman and Dodgers reliever Brian Wilson is the latest to throw his opinion out into the Internet ether:

Wilson, of course, is referencing McCain’s loss at the hands of current President Barack Obama in the 2008 election.

Who knew politics and baseball could be so fun?

Here’s a hint, Champ. The Democrats aren’t shutting the government down because of nationalized healthcare.

        Suck on that one.

They aren’t? Sounds like that is exactly what they are doing.

@Anoesis Ted Cruz will make politicians something to believe in once more. Kooky, but not quite Ron Paul…just right.

Amazing that some people have a sore disposition in life when the other person wins. Why not congratulate them and be happy. When you day comes, then you will be able to celebrate. Don’t be a sour puss.

bad winners are more distasteful than poor losers. to rub it into Arizona’s fans faces, by jumping in their own pool, was really bad taste. dodgers used to be a proud classy club. thats a shame.

      • koufaxmitzvah - Sep 21, 2013 at 8:13 PM

That swimming pool which you’ve nominated as a National Monument of Great Importance, can be rented out for $3000 for a party of 20 UNLESS you happen to be wearing a Dodger blue bikini.

        Cuz Arizona’s got class.

Yes, old warmonger,McCain, will take on or interject himself in a non issue subject and make it an issue,so he can think himself relevant…This clown never met a camera he didn’t want to stick his rear end in front of..

Let the Dodgers celebrate,so take a seat on the porch in the desert of AZ,McCain…
