More sewage problems at O.co Coliseum in Oakland

Sep 21, 2013, 3:11 PM EST

There have been multiple sewage issues at O.co Coliseum this season and they have reared their ugly head again today with rain in the Oakland area.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle has the updates from the Athletics clubhouse:

Meanwhile, Twins closer Glen Perkins has provided this shot of standing water in the visitor’s dugout. Note that even the Dodgers don’t want to swim in this.

Slusser notes that the A’s say there’s no sewage component to the standing water in the dugout, though it’s pretty sad that something like that needs to be clarified. Still, it would be pretty embarrassing for MLB if something like this happened during the postseason. Good thing they have been dragging their feet on this stadium situation for years.

Just more reasons the A’s need a new stadium.

Too bad it seems those Giants are so greedy and scared that they pretty much won’t let the A’s move anywhere but out of state.

Dragging feet eh, how about they pay the. $$ to fix the problem and stop blaming MLB

The tenant doesn’t pay for repairs, the landlord does. You’d think a St Mary’s man would know that.

If it were any other industry, then they would be forced to close. Is MLB immune to OSHA regulations? Or public health regulations?

Bud claims it is covered under the Anti Trust Act Exemption. He was sober at the time he said it too.

California needs to shut it down like Texas did with the Astrodome! That’s a health ridk!

Yes, it would be embarrassing if this happened in the postseason. You know, because a MLB clubhouse / dugout / coaches room / anything flooding with toilet water (potentially maybe) is only embarrassing if it happens in the postseason.

    It’s totally acceptable now.

There’s definitely been some garbage on the field the last two nights. And that’s just because the Minnesota Twins are in town! HEY -OH!!!!!!!!!

Under normal circumstances I’d be upset by that joke, but it’s hard to justify my anger when they’ve been so bad for 3 seasons now.

Had a lot of great times at the Coliseum in my day..but it’s about time she’s demolished. A’s need a baseball only stadium and the Raiders their own as well.

What an awesome, pro-active commissioner baseball has!!

I’m sure Selig will assign a “brown” ribbon committee to evaluate the situation.

Out of the faucets? Effing gross!

I think it will be great for the visiting clubhouse for the REd Sux when they come for playoffs.Like the Celtic’s turning off the heat in the visiting locker room during the winter.

the A’s Raiders and Warriors will soon leave the East Bay and Oakland officials will point fingers instead of at themselves

Bud Selig needs to have his nose rubbed in the shit, like people who train their puppies to housebreak them
