Scott Kazmir got stuck in an elevator last night

Sep 27, 2013, 10:25 PM EST

Indians starter Scott Kazmir was in a bit of a pickle last night:

Despite the traumatic experience, Kazmir is still on schedule to start tomorrow against the Twins. The lefty is 9-9 with a 4.14 ERA, quite the renaissance considering he was playing in the independent league last year.

You have to laugh. That’s just funny.

no it’s not, five minutes could be funny being stuck in an elevator (if he doesn’t have an issue with confined spaces) – an hour and a half in an elevator that is shaking? that isn’t funny.

Oh, relax, it’s funny. Tell someone in Iraq or Somalia, or the south side of Chicago for that matter, that that is traumatizing and they’d laugh in your face. When people don’t have problems, they create problems

It sounds funny to us, but if he has claustrophobia, it wouldn’t be very funny for him.

happened to me at work years ago. first on in the building, the door shut behind me and the lights went out. i search around and found the elevator phone and somehow called the fire dept. after 10 minutes of pounding on the buttons everything came on. ten minutes seemed like an eternity.
