MLB announces division series game times through Saturday

Sep 30, 2013, 7:45 PM EDT

MLB has announced the game times for the division series matchups through Saturday. Check them out below.

It’s no surprise to see the Dodgers and Red Sox getting the primetime treatment initially. Start times for the rest of the games will be announced as the postseason moves along. You can view the full postseason schedule here.

As always, you can count on wall-to-wall coverage of the postseason here at HBT. We’ll have series previews, in-game updates, and post-game analysis, among other content, in the coming days and weeks. It should be a fun month of baseball.

8:30 for a game starting in Atlanta? Geez.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense for the games to be flip-flopped, so that the other game would at least begin at 7:30 local time?

“make sense” and playoff scheduling are never in the same paragraph

Baseball supremacy strikes again in beating back the NFL.

The game time for the Chargers vs. Raiders game on Sunday needed to be moved back to 11:35 p.m. EDT (yes, nearly midnight) from 4:25 p.m. EDT due to the need to provide more time to ready the playing field (the A’s play at 9:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday).

Baseball supremacy? That late start time will still get better national ratings than the A’s game.

Baseball has been holding over the NFL with regard to contract law, though.

I should have said ‘baseball superiority’. It even has its own day:

Oh boy. 8:30 start time. Let me know how the game ends.

    This cant be right.

The Nat’inals aren’t list. Rizzo put Strasburg on the shelf, and sacrificed last years playoff run, for the big push to the World Series this year.

The Red Sox’s “primetime treatment:” 3:30pm on a Friday; 5:30 on a Saturday

  6. stlouis1baseball - Oct 1, 2013 at 12:58 PM

    Stupid 1:00 P.M. Friday start time…
