Dallas Latos says she was hit in the head “at least three times” by a female Pirates fan at PNC Park

Oct 2, 2013, 12:17 AM EDT

Dallas Latos — the wife of Reds pitcher Mat Latos — claims to have had an ugly incident during Tuesday’s National League Wild Card Game at PNC Park, a 6-2 victory for host Pittsburgh. We’ll let her do the explaining:

At this point people on Twitter — mostly Pirates fans — are calling her a liar …

More to come, certainly. Maybe even some YouTube embeds from ball-less nerds.

If the security officers really didn’t do anything about it then I hope the Pirates do her a solid and make their names public before they fire them!

    • waiverclaim - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:23 AM

Only a moron would believe this without seeing video. She’s the biggest cleat-chasing, attention-seeking idiot since Anna Benson. She probably got so butthurt the Reds were losing she decided to make this about her. Where are the videos? The photos? People who confirmed saw it? Oh yeah, they dont exist.

The only thing Pittsburgh should be ashamed about is that they had to play the team this immature moron is loosely connected to.

      • alexo0 - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:33 AM

Welcome to Pittsburgh. We’ll beat up on your team, and your women too.

  2. aceinthehole12 - Oct 2, 2013 at 12:23 AM

    That’s terrible.

  3. skerney - Oct 2, 2013 at 12:35 AM

I am totally not surprised that Mat Latos is married to this person.

  4. junglerat524 - Oct 2, 2013 at 12:48 AM

Why? Because you are jealous of the fact you could never land a chick as hot & feisty as her?

    • skerney - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:02 AM

Well, I do go to Las Vegas twice a year so I get my fill of Blondes that have tats and are named after places in America.(Brooklyn, Dallas, Jersey, etc.) On another note, other than Buster Posey Mat Latos is most responsible for the Giants two latest World Series championships. Nice work Mat, keep it up.

  5. brewcrewfan54 - Oct 2, 2013 at 12:52 AM

She’s hot. This will help Matt get over the loss.

    • genericcommenter - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:08 AM

      Standards. Have them.

      • skerney - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:11 AM

I’m sorry she got hit in the head. Also she looks like a raccoon.

      • brewcrewfan54 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:16 AM

I’m not saying she’s the hottest ever but a hot blonde, bottle or not, is always a solid plan.

  6. aidanscawley - Oct 2, 2013 at 12:55 AM

She seems hardly as annoyingly condemning (maybe the way I read it the first time) with the other tweets about it mixed in. She did add that she thought it was an isolated incident and that Pirate fans in general are not to blame. Shame to have that come out of what was such a jubilant night for baseball.

  7. raysfan1 - Oct 2, 2013 at 12:57 AM

Incredible. Several times each year we get stories about thugs who think it is okay to assault someone for daring to support the opposing team. Then every time there are always buffoons ready to jump in and defend the thugs.

If these tweets are true, the security personnel should be fired, and she should be compensated.

    • waiverclaim - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:25 AM

The tweets arent true though, there is a very good chance this never even happened, or happened in the way she described it.

      • paperlions - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:38 AM

You were there and witnessed it? You have no way to evaluate the veracity of her statements, better to STFU until the truth (if different than portrayed) comes out that to have this be true and look like a jackwagon.

      • koufaxmitzvah - Oct 2, 2013 at 10:07 AM

Paper, this is the Interwebz. Did you think folks would use their computers to find a cure for cancer?

      • waiverclaim - Oct 2, 2013 at 6:17 PM

She’s not going to bang you dude…unless you are a pro ballplayer.

So many pathetic white knights in this thread.

  8. phillyphannn83 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:01 AM

Those damn Philly fans, so classless…oh, wait

    • ryanrockzzz - Oct 2, 2013 at 8:03 AM

Can you imagine if it was Philly….people would be saying those fans were awful and just as classless as those 5 fans who threw a few snowballs at Santa over 30 years ago. Most posts on here are calling her out- crazy what perception will do.

  9. sfm073 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:29 AM

I’d hit it, but that’s not the type of girl you marry. She’s on her way to winning Joan rivers look alike contest

    • skerney - Oct 2, 2013 at 2:36 AM

Too late, some yinzer chick “hit it” at least three times during the game.

    • cohnjusack - Oct 2, 2013 at 8:44 AM

I’m sure you’re high long-term standards are the sole reason you haven’t “hit that” yet. As opposed to being a sad, lonely probably fairly ugly d-bag with nothing to offer anybody, and are therefore relegated to telling anonymous strangers which girls you’d bang in a transparent attempt to hide this fact.

  10. bayafan - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:30 AM

She should be glad she wasn’t at a giants dodger game

  11. barroomhero80 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:31 AM

    This whore complains too much

    • cohnjusack - Oct 2, 2013 at 8:49 AM

Look everybody! A million monkeys on a million keyboards strung together an entire sentence! Shakespeare awaits….

      • barroomhero80 - Oct 11, 2013 at 12:14 PM

        wow feel cool?

    • southofheaven81 - Oct 2, 2013 at 10:17 AM

Dude, the Three Billy Goats Gruff are trip-trapping on your bridge. Go take care of that.

    • sabatimus - Oct 2, 2013 at 11:53 AM

Yes! I was the 100th thumb-down for this guy! See, it’s the little things in life that bring joy.

  12. drewzducks - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:32 AM

Couldn’t be Philly fans, this is the postseason. Also, I think the huge man just meant to say that they’ll see you next time.

  13. jason9696 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:36 AM

The game was in Shitsburgh. What do you expect?

    • pens5829 - Oct 2, 2013 at 2:35 AM

Well there’s an intelligent comment. How long did it take you to think that up?

  14. zachz55 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:36 AM

In other news…Dallas Latos trends on Google Search between the hours of Midnight and 2 AM…

  15. a125125125 - Oct 2, 2013 at 1:53 AM

Dallas’ un-ending ability to make herself the center of attention is remarkable. 99.9% chance that either: a) she started it or b) it was a minor confrontation and she’s exaggerating. Cincinnati is tired of her act. Take your tattoos, heavy drinking references, and fake hair back to San Diego.

  16. thebadguyswon - Oct 2, 2013 at 2:04 AM

Dallas Latos. Couldn’t have written it any better. And I’m sure she was an innocent bystander.

  17. jaker85 - Oct 2, 2013 at 2:08 AM

Go back to your home on whore island!

    • jarathen - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:41 AM

It’s a joke, people. This is not the misogynistic comment you’re looking for. There are plenty to choose from.

    • eatitfanboy - Oct 2, 2013 at 9:56 AM

      Well, you have bad hair.

  18. moogro - Oct 2, 2013 at 2:49 AM

Oof. Her first name is Dallas?

    • jarathen - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:43 AM

“There was Dallas, from Phoenix. Cleveland – he was from Detroit. And Tex… well, I don’t remember where Tex come from.”

  19. 950003cups - Oct 2, 2013 at 4:39 AM

Can’t blame security at PNC. They’re only trained to handle ten fans, which is the usual attendance. All those bandwagon “fans” who suddenly show up because the Steelers are 0-4 will get a dose of reality when the Pirates get swept

    • theageofquarrel - Oct 2, 2013 at 5:19 AM

Don’t be so butthurt little guy.

      • pens5829 - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:29 AM

A bit surprised 950003cups doesn’t blame Matt Cooke for hitting Dallas with a cheap shot?

    • magicrat13 - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:37 AM

this coming from a devils fan….priceless

  20. db105 - Oct 2, 2013 at 5:12 AM

How would a typical fan know that she is a wife of a ballplayer? That goes for any ballplayer’s family.

  21. rgwhodey - Oct 2, 2013 at 5:59 AM

stay classy Pittsburgh, doesn’t surprise me one bit, make the playoffs and you act like you’ve never been there before, oh wait…

  22. scottsills - Oct 2, 2013 at 6:03 AM

Pirates fans have always been idiots

    • 950003cups - Oct 2, 2013 at 6:30 AM

      All 5 of them?

  23. Stiller43 - Oct 2, 2013 at 6:46 AM

Thats rich, a devils fan talking about attendence, LOL

  24. mclovinhockey - Oct 2, 2013 at 6:53 AM

Things like this happen in every city, in almost every game. Police always take care of it. Not sure why the Pitt PD can not arrest anyone for assault… Fans like this are a joke and should be banned from going out in public.

Good news is for every one or 2 arrogant classy fans like this, there is usually 10 fans their to help the opposing fan up.

At least that’s what I have come to see.

    • jarathen - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:45 AM

I’ve even rooted for an out of towner in Fenway and the fans, while certainly mildly annoyed, never tried to make any kind of deal out of it.

Drunk idiots are the problem, and most real fans would never assault another one.

  25. thegonz13 - Oct 2, 2013 at 6:58 AM

From the amount of tweets she posted, it makes you wonder if she even watched the game…

    • jarathen - Oct 2, 2013 at 7:46 AM

Yes, with all that non-stop action going on.

Baseball has something like 14 minutes of action for an event that takes roughly three hours. I love baseball, but it’s true. She would have plenty of time to Tweet.

Especially through that snoozefest “God Bless America.”
