The Red Sox may put Xander Bogaerts in the lineup for Game 5

The Red Sox have scored ten runs in four games, four of which came on David Ortiz‘s grand slam in Game 2. They could use some shaking up, and the Boston Herald reports this morning that that the shakeup could come in the form of Xander Bogaerts in the lineup.

Third vs. short is a good question, of course, but both are options. Stephen Drew is 1-for-13 with six strikeouts in this series and Will Middlebrooks is 1-for-10 with five strikeouts.

Either way: developing a bit of a man-crush on Bogaerts in the limited amount of games I’ve seen him play. Would like to see him get more than one or two plate appearances in a playoff game.

Craiggers (hope you are an Office fan), I’ve been waiting for this for a while now. You have written several articles saying it’s all about now.

Young buck figures to be a big part of the Red Sox future, why not see if he can handle the bright lights in the medium sized city.

It’s about time. I want him at SS – seen quite enough of Drew botching easy plays and at least Middlebrooks doesn’t argue every called strike. Yet.

Have the baseball gods heard my prayers finally?

Perhaps if you sacrificed a live chicken?
