Felix Hernandez’s house is on fire

Nov 4, 2013, 8:15 PM EDT

According to this photo posted by the Bellevue Fire Department on Twitter tonight, Felix Hernandez‘s house is on fire:

source:

They’re calling it “a large residential fire” at the 5,000-square foot home, which Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times notes was purchased by King Felix in 2010.

All I want to know is that everyone is out and safe. I’m certain he’s insured.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Carlos, mad about his wife spending too much alone time with Felix and his wife.

The fire department posted this…while the house was burning…does that seem weird to anyone? Or, is it completely reasonable.

Besides all their firefighters, I suspect the Dept. has a public info officer whose job is to inform the community about what’s going on. I am also guessing they hope that putting info out quickly will reduce the number of rubberneckers getting in the way of those fighting the blaze.

If you look at the link above, the Bellevue Fire Department does this sort of thing. This may deter rubberneckers from taking pictures and posting them to a local TV station newsblog. A follow up :

I’m sure someone on the street took the picture. also he has a mini cooper man I love mini coopers. Felix moves up on my fav list just for that

    • papalurchdxb - Nov 5, 2013 at 5:54 AM

It’s a countryman i think, not the cooper. I daresay he wouldn’t fit in a proper Cooper, but the countryman is awful.
