The Rangers are hot after Brian McCann

Nov 13, 2013, 1:57 PM EDT

A lot of teams probably are. But I like the way Gordon Edes put the Rangers’ interest in him:

Like McCann, of all people, is gonna let ANYONE knock his door down.

    Cry baby

Yeah, they had just better approach him the RIGHT way. Or he’ll get his buddy Chris and they will be all over them.

They are so hot hot hot that they are beating at the door and are yelling “let me in whee-ooh!”. They are all in. They are in like flint.

Do we think 5 yrs, $75m?

Painful to think of him in another uni . One of my fav Braves eva . 75m will buy McCann a new door ; (

It’s a good fit. His sheriff’s badge will go perfectly with a Texas Rangers uniform.

This is one of the topics that ill believe when the deal is done. Bc Texas could just be in the mix to max the contract to hurt the other teams involved. More money spend , is less money thrown around .. I just don’t see a max deal coming when the rangers have a top prospect catcher waiting in the wings .

Rangers top catching prospect – like Salty, Teagarden and I think there was another?

This isn’t taking a shot but I can see why they would have ligitimate interest. Maybe they will sign him, maybe they won’t but I don’t think their interest is to drive up the price for someone else.

Alfaro is a top prospect who brings in Pudge like tendencies on defense with a little pop. Teagarden and Salt was just prospects. They’re no where near the same level as Alfaro or age. Teagarden AMD Salt was traded to the rangers. Alfaro is home grown. Once again you have no idea what youre saying

Teagarden was drafted by Rangers so guess you have no idea what your saying either

    Go Rangers!! Go get him!

We havent had a real catcher here since Pudge.

Nah, better go back further to find a “real” one. He was just 5’9″ of PEDs.
