The Giants inked veteran right-hander Tim Hudson on Monday to a two-year contract worth $23 million, but they are not done pursuing starting pitchers.

Giants assistant general manager Bobby Evans told Jim Bowden of SiriusXM on Tuesday afternoon that his team is still in contact with another veteran right-hander, Bronson Arroyo. The idea would be to pair Hudson and Arroyo with current starters Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum.

Arroyo, 36, posted a 3.97 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 202 innings this past summer for the Reds. One of the most durable pitchers in baseball, he’s made 32 or more starts in each of the last nine seasons.

The Twins, Phillies, Dodgers, Angels and Orioles are also believed to have interest in Arroyo.
