SportsDash: Halladay, Hall of Fame and Hot Stove

Dec 9, 2013, 1:40 PM EST

From this afternoon’s SportsDash show, live from the Winter Meetings. Well, it was live at the time. Now it’s not live. You get the idea:

I agree with you on Halladay, Craig. Completely dominant for awhile. Too bad his career is cut short. The analogy with Koufax is a good one. Good luck to him.

Of course, Halladay’s lifetime numbers or even career averages don’t even get him in the same sentence as Sandy Koufax and Halladay doesn’t have much of a post season resume either. The main thing those two had in common was short careers. When you think dominant pitchers of an era, you have Koufax, Gibson, Seaver, Pedro (I am probably missing someone, but not Halladay).

For the postseason, that no hitter was pretty impressive.
