Picture of the Day: Max Scherzer and his WWE championship belt

Dec 14, 2013, 3:30 PM EDT

We told you last month that WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon was planning to send championship belts to 2013 Cy Young Award winners Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw. Well, Scherzer has received his and decided to show it off on his Twitter account this afternoon:

Pretty snazzy. Now if Scherzer starts wearing a robe to the mound and yells “woo” after every strikeout, I’ll be really impressed. Gotta play the part, you know.

Shouldn’t one side be brown and the other blue?

    Wow man. Super cool.

    *non-committal thumbs up*

Vince McMahon still loves to stick his nose wherever he hears someone say anything in relation to “wrestling” or “wwe”. Sherzer referenced WWE, so they send him a belt.. Next he’ll be guest hosting an episode of Raw. Vince loves to try and stay relevant. Especially in sports that also happen to play on Monday nights…

Judging by all the thumbs downs in this post so far, all of which are on comments negative towards wrestling, it looks as though this post has ended up on wrestling related websites and has been infiltrated. Marks. They’ll know what I mean by that.

The WWE is sort of like being a big fan of a sports team while despising its owner.

I really dislike Vince McMahon. However, I LOVE Mr McMahon.

he should wear this just once, he could get away with it at the all-star game

Anyone else notice that the WWE logo upside down looks like the new Marlins’ M?
