Some random crazy video of Masahiro Tanaka on a variety show will make it all better

Dec 17, 2013, 1:00 PM EDT

Bored? Cold? Stressed by the holidays and your team’s lack of good hot stove moves? Never fear, Japanese variety shows are here. Featuring future MLBer — we think, anyway — Masahiro Tanaka, doing silly dances:

Thanks to Dan Zinski at FanSided for finding this gem, and thanks to HBT reader NatsLady for pointing it out to me.

    So catchy.

    Pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-tching!
    Ca-ca-ca-ca-ca-ca-ca-ca-ca-tching!

    Man, that’s good stuff.

Well, he should certainly be able to handle the American press if that didn’t embaress him.

I like that Tanaka from Major League 2 and 3 is the host of the show. Nice to see him have career after baseball and his mini putt ownership venture.

I’m glad that I was high for this

Way more advanced society. Always makes me jealous and disheartened by what is here.

The Japanese really do have the most entertaining television. Between the most amazing game shows I’ve ever see, the seizure fest’s from Anime, to the bright colors and absurdity of things like this, I’m all in.

The thing that amazes me is, between shows like this, and game shows where they stuff tiny Asian guys into tiny balls and roll them down huge hills and try to hit targets on the way down for small prizes, why do they then blur out certain “women” parts in porn? You’re going to tell me they’re worried about embarrassing or offending the culture on camera?

Sorry but those gals are 30 years late, and nowhere near as good as their American big sisters:

I hope he’s prepared for intense reverse-culture shock.
