Carlos Zambrano is sorry

Carlos Zambrano got into a big brawl down in a Venezuela winter league game on Saturday. Now he’s sorry:

Former major league pitcher Carlos Zambrano apologized — in an ad in the El Nacional newspaper — for his role in a brawl during Venezuela’s winter series final . . . Zambrano asked for forgiveness from Venezuelans and the Caribes organization for the “very embarrassing incident.”

He’s had a lot of practice doing that. He always says he’s a changed man after whatever dustup he’s involved in. But at some point you’re just a guy who is unable to keep a lid on you emotions and your anger. Zambrano passed that point years ago.

How can you stay mad at him? He’s like a big violent puppy dog.

More like a rabid pit bull.

I think the title of the post stands alone.

    To paraphrase the band Extreme,

“More than words is all you have to do to make it real,

Then you wouldn’t have to say that you’re sorry

    ‘Cause we’d already know”

At some point that dude should look at himself and realize that he let his stupid temper and crappy attitude cost him at least $100,000,000.

Actually, nevermind….that’s the kind of realization that ends in a dead hooker.

    “Carlos Zambrano is sorry”

    …and so is his career.

Said Zambrano, “If I could pass a lesson on to the kids it would be this: Don’t attack anybody. I shouldn’t have attacked Michael Crabtree the way I did. You don’t have to put anybody else down to make yourself bigger.”

I don’t understand how this is supposed to be funny.

Can you explain it to me?
