The Giants alter their alternate orange jerseys and it is good

Jan 31, 2014, 2:07 PM EDT

I don’t like alternate orange (or red or solid blue in most cases) jerseys, but if the Giants are going to do it, at least they’re finally doing it right:

As Grant Brisbee notes at McCovey Chronicles,– complete with visual aids in the form of a 1981 Fleer Willie McCovey card — the shade and the script now match what the Giants sported in the early 80s. It’s a better, more muted color and the script Giants adds a nice touch to it that the block Giants didn’t have.

Crawford should rent out that forehead as billboard space.

I thought it was Red for the Sox.

I’m trying to help the Giants sell more jerseys with marketing.

        Duh.

BTW, you should tattoo that on your tushie for your wife. “Live. Beard. Red.”

I prefer to draw attention AWAY from my assbeard when possible.

Solid. I like them. I have a BP jersey like that in black. I like the lettering

I always thought they should never have abandoned this design for the clunky block letters starting in the 1980s. The orange was a 70s thing, but the design goes back to NY. Wonder how that would look with numbers on the front.

There are 480+ comments just for that single Brisbee post? Holy crap.

It’s mostly a bunch of ritualistic chanting.

Love Orange, Black (which I have authentic of), and White. I absolutely hate the gray ones!
They look like the team is using old uniforms and too cheap to buy new ones!

    Very nice
