Jon Heyman reports that the Mariners and Logan Morrison have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.75 million contract.

Morrison, acquired by the Mariners in a December trade, requested $2.5 million. The M’s countered with $1.1 million. He can get an extra $350K in incentives, however. He has hit .236 with a .708 OPS in 178 total games over the past two seasons.

The Mariners need to be sure to keep praying mantises and big tits away from Tweeter – he has a horror of both…er…all three….

But he looked good batting .236 the last couple of seasons.

He looked even better batting below .200 with RISP. He was the most dependable Feesh that way. When he came to bat, second and third became allegories of Boot Hill.
