Larry Lucchino wants Bud Selig to stay on after 2014

Feb 21, 2014, 2:50 PM EDT

Most people are ready for the Bud Selig farewell tour. After several false claims of retirement, yes, it is finally time to carry through with one, right?

Well, you don’t think that way if you’re Larry Lucchino:

This going to be a Nixon’s head/Futurama situation, isn’t it?

Count me out. Go, Bud! Go far, far away! Be happy, but be happy far from us and baseball.

      GO BUD GO!

I would bet the only person besides LL that doesn’t want him to retire is Mrs. Selig. She enjoys sending him out of the house each day.

Love him or hate him, if he won’t leave on his own we’ll roust him out of a spider-hole in the desert if we have to.

So you’re saying he’ll be replaced by a time travel paradox?

FFTOOB…. I think this needs to be started up. Fans for the ouster of Bud

I don’t actually know exactly what Larry Lucchino does….but whatever it is, he’s probably pretty good at it since the Sox have been pretty successful the last decade….

But I’d just like to stop being reminded that he’s a key member of the organization.

Sounds nice but it is time for a change. Bud got a few things right but screwed up others. Id like to see what someone new could bring to the job.

    Larry you need a snickers.

No, let Bud pass the reigns to his daughter, Wendy Selig-Prieb. She was a model owner in Milwaukee, especially if you liked unwatchable baseball and drafting players for their “signability”. Or her hubby Laurel, who miraculously worked in the Brewers front office and has worked for Bud in the Commissioner’s office. Ah, the sweet smell of nepotism.

Larry is a Loud mouth punk, but I hope Bud stays

I’m meeting you halfway, you dirty hippies!

Selig isn’t going anywhere. He likes the money, power and the attention too much. After all, who’s ever heard of a commissioner having a farewell tour. Not even the egomanical David Stern held a farewell tour at every league city like Selig is planning.

And if Selig stays, baseball is worse for it. He’s an utter joke.
