Trevor Rosenthal leaves BP session with pain in his . . . leg

Feb 25, 2014, 1:33 PM EST

The Cardinals managed to survive the loss of their closer last year. They probably don’t want to see if they can risk that again in 2014.

Let’s see, how much distance is there between a tweak of the quad/groin area, and losing your closer for the year? A quantum leap?

      I hope so.

See? This is why you don’t brag about how everything’s coming up roses for your team when commenting on stories of other teams’ injury woes. Somebody’s gonna notice and fix that….

Yeah, when there were no stories about the Cardinals for a while I was just staying quietly satisfied that there weren’t any stories about injuries. The Garcia think, really, was to be expected, and, I guess, better now than in May. Hopefully, this issue and Carlos’ porn ailment are both short-term problems.

It’s guys like Rosenthal that get me excited for the later innings in games. I hope nothing becomes of this leg pain.

    Well played, Craig.
