More bad injury news for Padres center fielder Cameron Maybin, who left Sunday’s game after landing on his shoulder in the outfield and is now considered “doubtful” for Opening Day.

No word yet on the official injury because he’s scheduled to undergo further testing, but Maybin apparently did some damage to his biceps tendon in addition to the shoulder.

Last season he missed all but 14 games with knee and wrist injuries. He’s signed through 2017 and owed $21 million in guaranteed money, so being without Maybin in center field would once again cause the Padres to scramble for fallback plans.

Was excited to watch this kid as a tiger. Beautiful move by dombrowski to shed. Hope he can get it together

Always so much potential, but never lives up to it. He needed the spring to get back on track from last year.

Sucks he had just hit a beautiful blast the day before he got injured too.
