Take a photo tour of the Cardinals’ new Ballpark Village

Mar 23, 2014, 8:52 AM EDT

It’s eight years late, but the Cardinals are ready to unveil Ballpark Village — a new entertainment district adjacent to Busch Stadium with bars, stages, “rooftop” seating, a team Hall of Fame, and more.

A user on Imgur took a tour of the nearly-completed Village last week and posted some pretty cool pictures. Check out the full album here. A shot from one of the all-inclusive outdoor seating areas …

Polished & shiny bars are nice to visit but it’s Cards baseball that holds my interest.

Skip the photos, people, unless you have a thing for middle aged men in hard hats.

Now I’m curious how it’ll affect the views of downtown from the stadium, given that’s kind of one of the nice parts of the design of the current place. Looking over the photos, and looking at the poster of Busch III (for the Opening Season) I have on my wall, not too bad, I suppose, but you’ll probably lose most of the view of the Old Courthouse except probably the point on the dome…
