Mar 25, 2014, 2:07 PM EST

Keep in mind: I taped this before all the Rangers players got the plague and stuff over the weekend.

    1. Rangers (94-68)
    2. Athletics (91-71, WC playoff spot)
    3. Mariners (77-85)
    4. Angels (76-86)
    5. Astros (59-103)

Quick to overlook injuries to their SP, 2B 10-12 weeks, and C 10-12 weeks. They added Choo and Fielder but subtracted Joe Nathan, Nelson Cruz, David Murphy, and Ian Kinsler.

Not to mention Feliz’s problems, trading Gentry, and moving Scheppers out of relief. The pen is much weaker than last year.

I guess you two never watch a game last year when Joe Nathan came up to pitch.

The dude could not 1-2-3 a 9th to save his life. I had more nail bitters and fast forwards last year than the WS. David had a .220 avg. He killed us with his poor hitting that stopped innings with his poor at bats. Gentry has never been a full season man, ever. Just wait until pitchers figure him out he’ll come back to earth.

Honestly, I think the bullpen depth will be stronger than last year. Definitely the offense as well
The rangers have depth, don’t forget that

Losing Murphy was addition by subtraction. Gentry for Choice will be a wash (but an increase in power). Cruz was in decline and will continue to decline. Kinsler was also in decline and I doubt the decline stops…maybe a new-environment bump will help slow it down.

But despite those equation changes, yeah, we’re probably still screwed.

Seahawks, Super Bowl champs! Mariners, 2014 World Series champs!

Even a delusional homer can dream, right?

    • renaado - Mar 26, 2014 at 5:42 AM

Yeah.. Well that’s what happened with the Pats when the RedSox won the World Series last year and look what happened to them.
