From Katie Dowd of the San Francisco¬†Chronicle comes the below photo of Batkid — a five-year-old named Miles Scott who beat leukemia — being guided to the mound by Matt Cain to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Giants’ home opener Tuesday afternoon against the Diamondbacks.

    God knows how that little guy is so brave and so tough, but I pray he’s never tested like that again. He’s had enough. Now let him be a kid.

      I will never understand why anyone would down vote a comment like yours. Do they think it’s funny? If it was an accident, couldn’t they just hit the up vote button to fix it?

      That kid deserves all the ice cream and cartoons he can handle right now.

    They should have tied up Andrew Garfield at home plate and let Cain out one in his eyeball with Batkid on the mood. But even without that, classy move.
