Andrelton Simmons scratched from Thursday’s lineup with jammed wrist

Bad news for people who like fun things. According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons was scratched from tonight’s lineup against the Mets due to a jammed right wrist.

Simmons apparently jammed the wrist when he stumbled across home plate last night. He took batting practice this afternoon in hopes of playing tonight, so it doesn’t sound like a major concern. Still, the Braves understandably don’t want to take any chances with the defensive wizard.

Ramiro Pena will make the start at shortstop tonight and bat eighth against Jenrry Mejia.

    The braves need to chill with the injuries thing…they might have to call up their triple A team. Coincidentally, the team that should be playing the Marlins…
