Dodgers player says Yasiel Puig causes no rift in the clubhouse

Apr 11, 2014, 4:21 PM EDT

It’s been at least a couple of days since I said anything about Yasiel Puig, so I’m kinda gettin’ the shakes here, guys. Maybe hallucinating even, as I just totally imagined a report in which Puig was caught taking pine tar-infused steroids while wearing a Chief Wahoo shirt the day before he went on paternity leave and my head just about exploded. I need something. I need it bad.

Ahhh . . .

That’s Chris Perez, of course. And it basically makes my pro-Puig case. Because if you can’t trust the word of a dude who arranged for marijuana to be mailed to his dog, you can’t trust anyone. That’s just science.

    Chris Perez said Spark.

    Hahaha

    Man, I’m hungry.

Puig is one of the kindest guys he knows. They’re buds. Heck, they’re kind buds…

They’re all good and kind buds on the Dodgers. Did you see Uribe’s leaf hat last year? This team rolls with it.

        I’m realllly hungry now.

Yeah, they roll alright…. Oh, rolls. Man, now I’m hungry…

Chris Perez isn’t in that clubhouse everyday….what does he know?

    • stercuilus65 - Apr 11, 2014 at 8:48 PM

      More than you.

        Sigh.

Obviously, you didn’t get the reference to reporters that cover the Dodgers using their access to state that Puig is a huge problem and anyone that says differently doens’t know because they aren’t in the locker room every day.

    More ballplayers should smoke weed.

Why is Chris Perez destroying the narrative of old, white men that Puig doesn’t have the class, grittiness and respect to win?

Anonymous sources to Bill Plaschke >>>> a quote from a man on the 25 man roster.

Unfortunately for Puig, games aren’t played in the clubhouse, cars aren’t driven there, and players aren’t allowed to sleep there.

*except for Rickey Henderson and Bobby Bonilla

Chris Perez, with that majestic 1:1 K/BB ratio so far this season, is a quotable source for something? Did anyone ask him about how little value he had in the clubhouse that he got shipped out of Cleveland for John MF Axford? I guess he knows a thing or two about being a despised clubhouse presence, but if anything that weakens his point about how Puig isn’t so bad. “Man no one likes says man many dislike ain’t so bad.” Great story. Save the rest and tell them to yourself later. Silently.

And Craig, you can break the cycle of addiction. You have to; this is all a CIA-backed way to keep paunchy, midwestern white guys down, by getting them sweet gigs as bloggers and then pushing Puig on them. You’re turning into Pooky from New Jack City, man. You clearly want to get off the Puig pipe, but it’s calling you. Paging Gary Webb….

Obviously none of you have ever been inside a pro baseball clubhouse. It’s funny reading the things you say. Each of you trying to convince the other that you know what you’re talking about, but you don’t. You don’t know.
Stop trying to make it a soap opera like your wife makes you watch. Leave the Real Housewives to the ladies.
