    I couldn’t agree more with Craig. Yes, Gomez does need to show a bit more contraint, particularily with his helmet, but get real people. He’s a fun player to watch and has some swagger which I think is sorely missed in today’s game. Is Cole that mentally unstable that he can’t handle a batters slight hesitation out of the box? (Slight is even strong…. ever watch Ortiz?)

    The real issue are these stupid unwritten rules that seem to only apply when “other” teams break them, not when their own team does.

    Cole is a great pitcher and I’ve seen him pump his fist after striking a batter out. How come that isn’t considered showing the batter up and breaking an “unwritten” rule? Didn’t Cole break an “unwritten rule by barking at Gomez in the first place?
