Forfeit all 27 Yankee championships seems fair.

MLB wants this. They want to always have issues that will be debated forever amongst fans forever to keep the game relevant. Obviously there’s there’s no logic involved when there are apparently different levels of cheating and different levels of showing up the opponent:

    PED’s NOT OKAY
Amphetamines that every player used in the 40′, 50’s & 60’s – OKAY
Stealing signs OKAY (just be discrete about it)
Flipping the bat and glaring by a batter- NOT OKAY
Screaming at same batter by pitcher – OKAY
Flipping the bat and glaring by a batter (if batter is on your team)- OKAY
Screaming at same batter by pitcher (if pitcher is on your team)- OKAY
Pine tar or similar substance- OKAY
Pine tar or similar substance NOT properly hidden- NOT OKAY

Of course all of this is okay if YOUR team is involved.
Unwritten rules are only broken by the OTHER team- never your team.
