Bryce Harper (and his hair) had surgery today

Apr 29, 2014, 4:04 PM EDT

Bryce Harper underwent thumb surgery today that’s expected to keep him out for at least two months and not surprisingly the Nationals outfielder a) tweeted a post-surgery picture from his hospital bed, and b) had his hair done up for the occasion.

Calcaterra does the exact same thing whenever he goes to the dentist, so whatever.

He has an enviable hairline, I’ll give him that.

I hope he blames Matt Williams for the injury.

21 year old hairlines are wonderful but fleeting. I had Bryce having a breakout 2014 year but that is now postponed until 2015 if he stays health.

Watch it. That’s Craig’s 2014 NL MVP you’re talking about there.

    Thumb surgery is so legit!

Let’s ban all head first slides. The players are now a danger to themselves and need to be policed as such.

Oh, come on, Aaron, you know Craig has no hair to do up. I do picture him carefully selecting which cap to wear to impress the hygienist and then putting a plastic cover over it before they break out the water pic.

Hey some of us have no hair by choice. As in, our hair chose not to grow back…

Dang, man, your hairs went all misandristic on you. Ouch.

That’s the way Bryce’s hair looks naturally when he wakes up in the morning.

And how do you know this? ;)
