VIDEO: Carlos Gomez once again robbed Joey Votto of a home run

May 1, 2014, 9:21 PM EDT

Carlos Gomez was robbed of extra bases on an excellent catch by Billy Hamilton in the top of the first inning this evening, but he committed some thievery of his own when the Reds came up to bat. Check it out below, as Gomez takes away what would have been a solo home run by Joey Votto:

You have to love Votto’s reaction. Of course, he’s used to it by now. Gomez robbed Votto of a potential go-ahead homer to end a game last year.

Both reactions are great, but then again I love both players.

I know Gomez catches a bad rep for being charismatic and having a fiery personality but he is a damn good ballplayer.

I don’t know that Carlos catches a bad rap for being “charismatic.”

****Disclaimer**** The following post is sarcastic. If you give a thumbs down, you are saying you dislike Gomez

Someone let Sheriff McCann and Marshal Cole know Gomez is still flouting unwritten rules and such. Votto’s just an enabler. Canadians are like that.

In other news, Carlos Gomez is still a D-Bag.

Now serving Hateraide on the HBT boards. BTW, you left out U.S. Marshall Gibson in AZ.

Typical Votto, swinging at the first pitch, trying to hit home runs.

Plays like the one Gomez made coupled with reactions like Votto’s are what make baseball fun to watch.
