Wilin Rosario hasn’t played since Saturday due to left hand soreness, but he’s back in the starting lineup for tonight’s game against the Mets. He’ll bat sixth and catch right-hander Wilin Rosario.

Rosario originally suffered the injury last week, but it eventually became too uncomfortable to play through. While the situation gave the Rockies a bit of a scare, an MRI on Monday ruled out a fracture or any other structural damage. The 25-year-old took batting practice yesterday without incident and passed one final test by hitting in the cage this afternoon, though Thomas Harding of MLB.com notes that his wrist was “heavily wrapped.”

Rosario is hitting .244 (20-for-82) with three home runs, 13 RBI, and a .690 OPS through 23 games this season.

“He’ll bat sixth and catch right-hander Wilin Rosario.”

I assume he’s doing this because Craig brought up the Ominowakiing Beermakers and the olden days in ATH this morning. Nice tribute, Wilin. Very nice.

Surprised he didn’t do any rehab stints down at Tuscon, Tucumcari, Tehachapi, or Tonapah.

    Either way, he’s still Wilin.
