MLB using pink baseballs for Mother’s Day

May 11, 2014, 11:04 AM EST

A sneak peek at the special baseballs, via MLB’s public relations department

You’ll also see pink bats, cleats, and wristbands being used by players around the league. It’s all part of raising awareness (and money — through auctions and such) for the fight against breast cancer.

Happy Mother’s Day from the staff here at HardballTalk.

I may have to skip baseball today…

Hopefully it’s to spend time with your mother and not because you’re too insecure to see men wearing pink

      • historiophiliac - May 11, 2014 at 11:45 AM

        hahahahahahaha

Would you stop loving me if I asked something snide about what color these baseballs are on the inside?

      • tfbuckfutter - May 11, 2014 at 12:12 PM

How come breast cancer gets to have pink balls but if ball cancer had their own color ball everyone would yell about how it was….something?

We ALL (darn near all in reality) have a mom, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a grandma, a daughter and you’re heartless to think this let alone actually verbalize/write it…

So many good, wonderful women that do SO much… and this is how you think about them…

Sterling doesn’t like blacks and you don’t like women…

Guess the two of you can date each other then…

        hahahahahahahaha

I wonder what game is going to run out.

    It sure beats running 5K

I wonder if you wanted to honor your mother by wearing teal (ovarian cancer) or red (heart disease) instead, if MLB would go for that. I’m guessing not.

Mother’s Day was started as an anti-war day:

As usual, one of the organizations attached to this is the Komen Foundation, which many consider to be discredited. The other group that gets the money is the Entertainment Industry Foundation, an long enduring Hollywood charity that runs the “Stand Up for Cancer” telethons.

Not to mention that a cure for cancer already exists. It is called cannabis oil.

I own nothing pink, although I do have a mother.
