Ryan Braun to be activated tomorrow

May 12, 2014, 9:25 AM EDT

Ryan Braun is on the DL with a strained oblique. But good news:

Braun has been out since April 26 and has been on the disabled list since May 3. Before being shut down he hit .318 with six homers and a .952 OPS in 22 games.

Also since then: there has not been a reliable heel playing major league baseball. It’s all babyfaces, which is really, really boring.

HGH gets you back on track quickly indeed.

There are still heels, like Jhonny Peralta and Melky Cabrera.

Ryan Braun is a whole other level of heel, like Roddy Piper. Or like Bret Hart during that anti-USA thing, where he was still loved in Canada (Milwaukee).

The Bret Hart anti-USA analogy is perfect. Tip of the hat on that one. Too bad my Brewers can’t swap him for Jose Bautista and get that going for real.
