Padres activate Carlos Quentin from the disabled list

May 13, 2014, 6:17 PM EDT

From the official Twitter account of the San Diego Padres …

Quentin missed the first six weeks of the 2014 regular season with a left knee injury (he had his right knee surgically repaired last September). The oft-injured 31-year-old is in the Padres’ starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Reds, playing left field and batting cleanup. He had an .855 OPS in 82 games last summer.
