Someone misspelled “Arlington” on the Prince Fielder bobblehead

May 19, 2014, 12:30 PM EDT

You had one job:

In other news, I know Fielder got in better shape this past offseason, but I’ve seen Vogue magazine covers which were less flattering to their subjects than this bobblehead is to its.

I’m convinced that Fielder is in the Haters Gonna Hate strut there.

    LMAO Hillarious

    • nbjays - May 19, 2014 at 2:15 PM

Almost as hilarious as your typo of hilarious, don’t you think?

      • imnotyourbuddyguy - May 19, 2014 at 2:40 PM

Except I’m not being paid to be correct

      • nbjays - May 19, 2014 at 7:03 PM

Ah yes, America… no obligation or incentive to do anything unless there’s cash involved.

Craig — they didn’t want to pay for the extra material, to make it “life-like.”

  5. sabathiawouldbegoodattheeighthtoo - May 19, 2014 at 12:38 PM

The extra plastic for the “real life physique” Fielder would have made costs prohibitive.

    • shawnuel - May 19, 2014 at 2:01 PM

You probably could have fit the actual “city” of Arlington on the life-size Prince Fielder bobblehead.

Still not as bad as Natinals.

  9. clydeserra - May 19, 2014 at 12:59 PM

they misspelled “good promotion” in the Rangers marketing department.

    • gloccamorra - May 19, 2014 at 6:27 PM

Oh, man. Sounds like my last employer. Their public relations department left the “l” out of public.

Guess all the proof readers are injured too…..

  11. philliesblow - May 19, 2014 at 1:19 PM

    As for the physique, it’s a bobble-head, not a bobble-belly.

  12. hildezero - May 19, 2014 at 1:32 PM

I never knew Fielder was in the Rangers…

  13. tfbuckfutter - May 19, 2014 at 1:36 PM

To be fair, whoever did that is probably a product of the Texas school system.

I’m pretty sure they replaced most of the fundamentals with more bible study. And ain’t no Arlington in the Bible. So according to Science, it doesn’t even actually exist.

    • nbjays - May 19, 2014 at 2:23 PM

      Not just Texas, it seems…

        That’s not funny dude.

The guy who did that’s supervisor was Daffy Duck.

They both lost their job over that debacle.

  14. RickyB - May 19, 2014 at 1:39 PM

If the proportions were most closely resembling Fielder’s body, his head would have been much too large to make it a bobblehead.

I love that commercial. “Great googely-moogely!”

  16. vincentbojackson - May 19, 2014 at 4:16 PM

Kind of icing on the cake for Texas regarding the Fielder for Kinsler disaster.

  17. jimeejohnson - May 19, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Exacto knife and some permanent marker: worked on my friend’s driver’s license and it will work here, too.

Curious that the terrible play and screw ups like this since Nolan left. Screw ups like this usually result in folks getting shown the door. And usually the person at the top.

  19. hardballtalkusername - May 19, 2014 at 7:23 PM

    They also misspelt “Nelson Cruz.”

  20. thekingdave - May 19, 2014 at 8:13 PM

This isn’t surprising. The vast majority of Ranger fans have only been aware of this MLB team since 2009-2010, so it would only make sense that they’re still getting used to this city the team calls home.
