Yep, my Rangers have one foot in the grave and the other on the shovel digging it deeper. After Darvish and Beltre, and Soria, you could put replacement players in and have essentially the same team,

The onus falls on Jon Daniels and Washington.

Daniels has drafted zero impact players in the first round, and traded away the farm. A close examination of all his trades shows he has been owned badly by every GM in baseball. His Garza trade last year (Giving up MIKE OLT, Neil RAmirez, CJ EDWARDS, and Justin Grimm) was just the tip of the iceberg when you look at his trade blunders, all the way back to trading Adrian Gonzalez and Chris Young to the Padres for a bucket of tinkerToys.

As far as Ron Washington goes…and I hope he goes a long, long way….his strategic futility is laughable, as is his cocaine bust and butchery of the English language. Just exactly what he has on Daniels that permits him to keep his job is widely speculated but still unknown.
