Rangers reportedly interested in Kendrys Morales, too

Recently, we’ve heard that the Yankees, Royals, Brewers, and Mariners are all at least somewhat interested in acquiring free agent 1B/DH Kendrys Morales. You can now add in the Rangers, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.

With the MLB first-year player draft under way, the draft pick compensation attached to Morales has disappeared, removing the only reason why Morales has remained a free agent into the season’s third month. The Rangers lost first baseman Prince Fielder for the season due to a herniated disk. Since Fielder went on the DL, Mitch Moreland has posted a meager .575 OPS at first base. The Rangers could use some help.

So the Boras rumor machine is now working full time. Personally, I think that he would look great in a Philadelphia uniform.

And before you disagree with me Bill, let me point out that those Philadelphia uniforms are spiffy.

He’s not going to the Rangers. Jon Daniels knows they’re out of it, even more with Ogando now on the shelf for the rest of the year.

Two unnamed sources. His wife and his secretary?

      Borass and Heyman.

Oh it’s not the only reason – if it was he would have signed on Thursday, he’s a poor DH who over values himself.

I’m interested too as I have him on my bench for fantasy baseball

tigers should be interested. Carbbera back to 3b , castellanos to LF and Morrales at 1b would really make the tigers line up a killer.
