Yasiel Puig injured his hip flexor

Yasiel Puig Yasiel Puig

Yasiel Puig left last night’s game due to a right hip flexor injury. Puig got hurt sliding into second base in the fourth inning. He played the field in the bottom of the inning, but left in the fifth inning, replaced by Scott Van Slyke.

The Dodgers are calling him day-to-day. Figure Van Slyke will take any playing time he misses. No word on who takes over bat-flipping duties.

Figure van slyke didn’t think he would see this much playing time … Figure Matt Kemp didn’t either

Playing for the wild card anyway. Can’t see the Giants with binoculars.

      Have you seen a calendar?

Doesn’t matter. If the Dodgers do not start to win consistently, they won’t catch the Giants. At least for one year, the Dodgers did better. But to equal the Giant’s accomplishments the Dodgers have to win 2 of the next 3 World Series. Good luck with that.

The Dodgers are going to need more than luck, but you know that. If the Giants can keep winning at this pace, then you will definitely win the division. But there is no reason to consider the first week of June as some sort of Written In Stone moment.

I am a huge Giants fan going back decades now. The Giants are on pace to win 107 games. That’s probably not going to happen. There will be the slump, I just hope they can pad the lead enough to survive it.

It didn’t happen on the slide into 2nd base…

That’s just an excuse… to cover up him injuring his hip when he flipped his bat…

Heard bat flipping will be handled by Satan until Puig is well.
