Yasiel Puig flipped his bat on a walk, almost took out the catcher and umpire

Jun 15, 2014, 7:35 AM EDT

Even Vin Scully called this “ridiculous.” And not in that good, “redonkulous” sense. More in the “Jeez, kid, shape up, will ya?” sense.

Yes the guys a 15 watt bulb in a 100 watt socket but this wasn’t intentional.. Once again the media sensationalizing no issues

C’mon, bat took and awkward flip due to the pine tar on Puig’s gloves. Nothing more nothing less. Oh yeah, stop hating!

Honestly, it looked like he was just trying to toss the bat toward the dugout but it kind of got stuck in his hand. I don’t actually think he was trying to “flip” the bat at all.

Where’s the petition to get this douche out of the league? Selig seems like the type who would respect a petition.

Have most of you actually seen the video?! Like some have pointed out, he was tossing the bat back and it got stuck to his glove (pine tar). Does not look intentional at all. Nothing more. Vince, one if not the greatest, got this one wrong.

Your right. It was an accident due to the pine tar, but the comments of Vin Scully tell a lot. Apparently Mr. Puig is not bigger than the game and his antics (tho this was not one of them) have worn fans of the game thin.

“he should be fined” i read, but come on, he didnt even was fined when he hit Hinske in the back of his head in last year’s brawl between LAD and DBacks, even after MLB reviewed the video to check if Hinske deserved his five days suspension for getting hit by Puig.

Overall, let the kid be because:
the kid is Cuban, thats the way they play there
he is “latino” and those guys do not understand
he is ignorant and can not comprehend respect
he brings joy to a somber MLB
he is the best player all time and HoF bound
catcher and umpire wear protective gear so they do not feel
umpires deserve to get hit, repetitively, with no mercy
because XXXX ‘journalist’ does not like Puig, and is our duty as bloggers deffenders of the world, to stand up to those journalists and fix everything that is wrong with the world as seen by me.

At least thats what I have learnt here reading comments by HBT bloggers and other baseball fans.
