From Joe Frisaro, the Marlins beat writer for MLB.com

Miami optioned right-hander Anthony DeSclafani and outfielder Jake Marisnick to Triple-A New Orleans on Saturday night to open up the two roster spots. Yelich wound up missing exactly 15 days because of a back strain. The 22-year-old was batting .259/.342/.418 with 41 runs scored in 63 games before the injury.

The 2 players who were sent down used to play for my favourite minor league team. I love the name of the Lansing Lugnuts.

I have never been able to come up with a satisfactory recipe for lugnuts. I boiled the damned things for hours and still cracked my teeth on the muffins.

They are also too dry to eat.

It will be good to have Yelich back. Between him and Ed Lucas, the Feesh lead the league in guys who resemble Mr. Ed.

the policy against using the statue on a play like that let the team down. they were too disappointed to have TWTW.
