It appears as though Jordan Zimmermann will avoid the disabled list, reports Bill Ladson of MLB.com.

Zimmermann, who had to leave his last outing before the break with a strained biceps, will throw a bullpen session today or Saturday. Assuming he gets through it with no issues, he will be cleared to rejoin the Nationals’ rotation next week.

Good news for the Nats.

Given the Nats’ history of underestimating player injuries, I won’t exhale on this one until I see him standing on the mound throwing his first pitch.

I agree. But I hope he is okay. He is undervalued.
