The Tigers are interested in Joakim Soria

Fox’s Jon Morosi reports that the Tigers are having “ongoing discussions” with the Rangers regarding Joakim Soria.

Morosi says that the Tigers are looking to keep Joe Nathan the closer, so any bullpen help they get — and they need bullpen help — will be from guys who aren’t hellbent on being a closer. That rules out Huston Street, but keeps Soria and perhaps old friend Joaquin Benoit in the mix.

Soria is having a nice season, posting a 2.67 ERA and 40/4 K/BB ratio over 30 and a third innings.

I know, hindsight 20/20 and all, but…they should have just re-signed Benoit in the offseason.

Tigers NEED to win it all this year.

give up whatever you need to to fix this team.

I can’t believe Soria is only 30. Seems like he’s been around forever.

Soria! Don’t go after Benoit, been there done that we didn’t sign him for a reason plus he’s 36 or older

Lol, win it all this year. Good luck with that.
A’s are favored to win it all. If you’re smart that’s where your money goes.

Hey rawdog you IDIOT!!! When the TIGERS fix their bullpen(which will be soon) the A’s won’t stand a chance in hell of winning.

Gatorjr, I can feel your anger. What has it been, 30 years since your last World Series? Even I haven’t waited that long. When mine comes it will be a lot cheaper, too.

    Just having fun, dude. Relax
