Video: Leonys Martin robs Brian McCann with juggling grab

Jul 22, 2014, 8:41 PM EDT

Watch as Rangers outfielder Leonys Martin leaps above the right-center field wall at Yankee Stadium to rob Brian McCann of a home run in the bottom of the second inning Tuesday night …

On the replay you can see the ball nearly pops out of Martin’s glove as he’s on the way down. The young center fielder entered play Tuesday with a weak .267/.324/.373 batting line, but he can play some defense.

I’m sure that catch violated some unwritten rule we will learn about in Mcann’s post game comments

Theft is wrong and is punishable by a near death fastball to the facebone.

More proof that baseball is dying you guys. MLB’s embedded technology sucks. It keeps the small video player’s resolution when you expand to full screen, so effectively you can’t see a damn thing. It’s really not that complicated of a thing to fix.
