It’s not been the greatest year ever for Ryan Zimmermann. He has fought through his degenerative shoulder condition, broke his thumb and had to learn to play left field. Last night the latest bump in the road presented itself: a strained hamstring.

Zimmerman left in the sixth inning after a run down the first base line which resulted with him on the ground holding the back of his leg. Zimmerman will get an MRI today, but it didn’t look good.

He’s already missed 44 games this year. He’s about to miss several more.

Yes. True Tough Men never get injured playing baseball.

He’s played over 100 games the last 8 years and over 120 in 6 of 8. Mayb it’s time for you to worry about your own team or learn a little more about baseball

All of the third basemen made out of carbon fiber were taken

Why do people with stupid takes pick such poor targets?

Anyone who’s half paying attention loves this guy. He’s team first and has said and done all the right things as his shoulder has betrayed him over the last two seasons. Hopefully this latest with the hammy isn’t a serious problem.

I don’t get it either. The guy has played 157/142/101/145/147 games the last 5 years. 1 year he missed 61 games and in the others, he basically missed a game a week. This is only the second year of the last 6 where he has been oft-injured. Give the guy a break already people. Geeze.

So much for the Nats having a complete lineup. It was fun while it lasted.

Most unfortunate for Ryan, who was busting butt (as usual) to get an infield hit.
