Meanwhile, on the David Price trade rumor front

Jul 31, 2014, 1:53 PM EST

I’m not gonna say no one known’ nothin’ about everything here, but this is what my Twitter timeline looks like now regarding David Price:

Multiply by that by about half dozen on either side too.

So, whatever happens with Price between now and 4pm, someone will likely claim they saw it coming.

I love the fake twitter handles fooling people all day. Looks like a fake Joel Sherman just tweeted that Byrd was traded and it is making rounds as real. Fake tweets fooling the high and mighty so-called “experts” are simply awesome.

Nothing beats the MLB Network guys reporting a fake Rosenthal account, with Rosenthal right there!

How about JoelSherman fake account posting a Marlon Byrd trade, then Jim Bowden STEALS THE INFO AND POSTS IT AS HIS OWN without crediting the fake account. Total hack.

      • SocraticGadfly - Jul 31, 2014 at 2:11 PM

Bowden passed his sell-by date long ago.

Please let this be true, please let this be true!

We are convinced that Jim Bowden freaked out and physically flung his computer out the window.

Obviously I have no inside info, but two if the most likely trading partners for the Rays have gone by the boards due to Eed Sox trades…so I’ll repeat my prediction that Price stays with the Rays until the off season.

Do not forget the “Mystery team”. It will not be the Yankees. They just tried to shore up their pitching staff by claiming Esmil Rogers from the Jays. Sad but true.

        lolwut? Seriously?

      • proudlycanadian - Jul 31, 2014 at 2:47 PM

Yep. The Yankees claimed Rogers off waivers.

      • raysfan1 - Jul 31, 2014 at 3:35 PM

Never do count such possibility. I’m not Nostradamus, and he wasn’t always right either.

There’s now a Price to the Tigers rumor afoot. We shall see.

Ol’ “Tire Fire” Rogers in pinstripes….

        Sorry.. can’t help it…

        DOOM!

      • proudlycanadian - Jul 31, 2014 at 3:59 PM

The Yankees have also traded for Drew. They are mining the AL East for gems

    I just want the button.

There are “similar” buttons/pins available, but that one is an old classic.
