Mark Teixeira can’t grip a bat right now

This is not a repeat from the, oh, half dozen times we’ve posted about Mark Teixeira‘s debilitating health woes over the past couple of years:

This time it’s due to a lacerated left finger that required stitches. He’s still in pain and, if he doesn’t improve soon, will need to be DL’d.

He’s at .230/.333/.447 on the year with 19 homers in 84 games.

Bent over to tie his shoelaces and heard a pop in his back. Might be back in September.

Are you confusing him with Red Shirt of former golfing fame?

This is a family site; so I am surprised that you commented on his love life.

No big deal if he can’t grip a bat. It’s not like he was hitting anything at at the plate

He WAS on Pace for 38 hr,but yeah, money well spent. Cashman should double down and give him an extension. By the time he’s 47 it should start paying off for them.

Hope he is well soon, but I have never cared for this guy………..even when he was with the Braves!

His injury history is similar to those of many former heavy ‘Roid users.
    Just sayin’
