Chris Carter hits two homers, same fan catches both of them

Aug 13, 2014, 8:59 AM EST

Save your “yeah, it was in Houston, he was probably the only one in the stands” jokes. There were a lot of people out there!

Howard Chen of CSNHouston.com reports that the fan’s name is Tim Pinkard. And that this was his first-ever Astros game. Not too bad.

I’ll resort to the obvious punchline:

Hey, that Tim Pinkard guy, he’s sure got some kinda balls.

And he passed them on to his kids!

I saw a guy catch two (2) foul pop ups once but two (2) homers, cool. This feat should be written about on “Sports Talk”.

First game ever and two home run balls? Well isn’t this guy’s life just sunshine and BJs….

He didn’t “catch” two home run balls. The second one bounced around the stands after a different fan missed it. They never really show him “catching” either of them, just later holding the balls.

I bet you’re fun at parties.

    Fix! Fix! I’m calling BS!

Chris Carter and that dude were brought together by the Astros organization to do this for publicity!

…and the pitcher was in on it too!

    (sighhh…I need more coffee)

Dude is Houston’d up to the eyeballs!
