Yoenis Cespedes leaves game with a bruised hand

A day after Yoenis Cespedes hit a big home run, he left today’s Reds-Red Sox game with a bruise on his right hand.

There’s no more information that that. I wasn’t watching, but I can’t find anyone who was saying that he was hit or that he hurt it somehow during the game. The club should update his status after the game. For now I’m going to go with an intense game of “hot hands” with Jackie Bradley Jr. in the clubhouse before the game.

He has the grip that goes over the butt of the bat. Hamate bone problems!!! Love the guy, but always had this problem with the A’s. Get used to it!

He has a bruise on his right hand….if he is gripping the bat such that his right hand is over the knob of the bat….that would be amazing.

Well, the box score says left hand, consistent with your theory…the article above says right hand….guessing that you and the box score are right.
